Aqua Medic Sulphur Reactor SN400 - 410.074

The construction of the Sulphur Nitratreductor SN 400 is very similar to that of the Nitratreductor 400. An internal pump circulates the water through chambers containing sulphur beads and Hydrocarbonate. Specialised bacteria develop within the Sulphur Nitratreductor that utilise sulphur as an energy source to remove nitrate. As a by-product, sulphuric acid is produced which is neutralised by the Hydrocarbonate in the filter. The Sulphur Nitratreductor is recommended for aquariums up to 400 litres (100 gallons).
