The Aquastarlight T5 is a luminaire designed for the new T5 fluorescent lamp. The luminaire is extruded from salt water resistant aluminium and powder coated. It contains four T5 fluorescent lamps. T5 lamps are much smaller and more efficient than standard T5 fluorescent tubes. Their diameter is only 16mm and they are much shorter than T8 lamps of the same wattage. In addition, they have a higher operating temperature (25 degrees C). The Aquastarlight T5 is supplied with high frequency electronic ballasts giving completely flicker free light. These features make them ideal fluorescent lamps for lighting aquariums. The Aqua Medic Aquastarlight T5 is available in three sizes:

  • 90cm (36") for 4 x 39W lamps

  • 120cm (48") for 4 x 54W lamps

  • 150cm (60") for 4 x 80W lamps
