The Red Sea Merlin Fluidised bed filter is suitable for aquaria up to 1000 lts. This filter contains a filter media which is held in suspension by filtered aquarium water passing through the unit. The movement of the filter media ensures that an extremely large bacterial colony can form within the filter as this movement provides sufficient oxygen levels. Merlin Fluidised bed filters are therefore extremely efficient and low in maintenance.
