Kent Reef Carbon is a superior activated carbon for use in all aquariums. This product removes organic pollutants, stain and entrained toxic gases in marine and freshwater aquaria. It contains the finest pelletised activated bituminous coal based carbon, wit pore sizes in the 20 to 2 000 angstrom range, ideally suited for the removal of large organics. This super activated carbon with very high iodine and molasses numbers is less than 0.2% as making it suitable for sensitive species such as discus. It will not leach phosphates or promote undesirable algae growth, suited to sensitive reef systems. Kent Reef Carbon is engineered for water flow, and will not clog easily like small granular carbons and outperforms any carbon, especially coconut shell.
